MANAGER/ASSISTANT MANAGER - FUNDRAISING & PROGRAMME (macau) (2-YEAR CONTRACT, RENEWABLE)
S/He is responsible for the day-to-day management and development of our Macau office, working closely with a small team to drive fundraising initiatives and deliver Oxfam’s poverty alleviation and development education programmes. The role reports to the relevant Unit Directors at the Hong Kong Head Office, requiring strong coordination across functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and carry out fundraising and Oxfam’s programmes in Macau and leverage the development opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.
- Identify and apply for funding opportunities, organise and manage fundraising activities to support programme delivery.
- Coordinate the planning, delivery and review of Oxfam’s programmes to ensure they meet quality standards and align with Oxfam’s goals.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with donors, partners and other stakeholders
- Handle the daily operations of the Macau office, including budgeting, reporting, and general administration, in coordination with the Hong Kong teams.
- Act as the main contact point between the Macau office and the wider organisation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, social service, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in fundraising, programme management, and partnership development. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager.
- Experience in securing funding and managing donor relationships.
- Familiar with Macau’s social, business, and administrative environments. Analytical and practical, with experience in market development.
- Knowledge of the education and philanthropic sectors in Macau.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua.
- Able to work on a roster, including working on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays as required.
- Identification with Oxfam’s vision and mission is a must
