COMMUNICATIONS officer II (2-year contract, renewable)
This position will be responsible for updating and monitoring the agency's website, creating and managing social media content, writing publicity and press materials, and supporting the Communications team in managing offline and online communication projects and events. He/she will work both independently and collaboratively with internal programme teams, as well as with various external stakeholders, including agencies, partners, and the media.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage social media content across various platforms that align with Oxfam's mission and goals.
- Regularly update and monitor Oxfam Hong Kong's website to ensure that content is current and relevant
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and develop content for social media, videos and other promotional materials
- Write, edit, and distribute press releases and promotional materials to share agency news and campaigns
- Organise press conferences and kick-off ceremonies
- Perform administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the team
- Occasionally travel to Macau to support fundraising events
Requirements:
- Degree holder with at least 3 years working experience in communications, digital communications or related field. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Communications Assistant.
- Hands-on experience in website editing and social media; knowledge of video editing and graphic design is a plus
- Excellent writing skill, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
- Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal and project management skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Office and Chinese word processing
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
