One-Forty
One-Forty (full name of One-Forty???) is a new non-profit organization focusing on the issues of migrate workers from Southeast Asia. Since 2016, One-Forty has launched the ‘School for Migrant Workers' project under Oxfam’s support to enable Southeast Asian migrant workers to have the opportunity to learn practical business knowledge and skills and to enhance their ability to plan their careers in Taiwan. In order to help them break the vicious circle of poverty; One-Forty plans monthly "Sunday for the Southeast Asians" to promote contacts and dialogues between Taiwanese people and migrant workers from Southeast Asia through interesting cultural exchange activities, build empathy and develop a diverse and friendly society.

在台灣，每40人當中，就有一位是從東南亞國家來打工的工人，台灣人一般稱他們為移工，這批來自印尼、越南、菲律賓、泰國，主要從事家庭看護、工廠勞工或在漁船上的工作的移工，人數多達60萬以上。他們大多數都是因為家鄉缺乏工作機會、工資低或其他貧窮問題，而選擇離鄉背井到台灣打工，為自己和家人爭取更好的生活而打拼。來自印尼的Vevi Elviyani Apandi 是其中一名移工，她於2015年開始參與由樂施會夥伴機構One-Forty幫移工舉辦的活動，以下是她的分享。
我的名字是Vevi Elviyani Apand，也可以叫我Yani，今年25歲，來自印尼。我在台灣照顧重病老人家已有五年，我老遠來到台灣的目標是為了儲錢上大學，這是父親生前最後的一個心願。在台灣，我很幸運的有一位對我很好的僱主，工作兩年後僱主給我每個星期天放一天假，讓我有時間學習新事物，也因為這樣我在2015年中認識了 One-Forty。
2015年7月，Kevin (陳凱翔，One-Forty 共同創辦人，協會理事長)邀請我和其他印尼移工朋友去參加One-Forty「移工人生學校」課程，這是由 台灣（非營利組織）所開設的免費課程。我覺得在One-Forty 「移工人生學校」上課非常的有趣好玩，因為我可以用很快樂的方式學習，老師也很熱情，他們教移工們一步步去描繪自己的未來目標和夢想，且幫助我們去真正了解到將來回到印尼後可以怎樣開展人生計畫。我的夢想是回到印尼後開一家珍珠奶茶店。
