[Eat Fair Campaign] Infinite Food Design Challenge
The food produced globally is sufficient to feed the entire population, yet one-third of it is wasted. At the same time, hundreds of millions of people are facing hunger and food insecurity. According to the United Nations' The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2025 report, more than 673 million people around the world are suffering from hunger. Economic shocks, extreme weather, and conflicts continue to worsen the situation. Hong Kong is also affected by extreme weather and economic conditions, which are increasing the living expenses of grassroots families.
To raise awareness among students and the public about food-related issues faced by underprivileged groups, and to promote 'Eat Fair' culture, Oxfam is launching the [Eat Fair Campaign] Infinite Food Design Challenge this academic year. The competition encourages participants to use innovative thinking and empathy to design nutritious and balanced lunch sets that meet the needs of the service target.
Objectives
Raise students’ awareness on local and global poverty issues, the unequal distribution of resources, and the crisis of climate change on underprivileged groups
