PROJECT OFFICER II (1-year contract, renewable)
 

The Project Officer II plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to incubatees, organizing events, and offering administrative assistance for the Oxfam Grant for Good Incubation Programme. This programme is a social innovation incubation initiative supported by the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund of the Hong Kong SAR Government. It aims to provide funding, training, consultancy, and other essential business support to innovative projects that tackle poverty alleviation and promote social inclusion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nurturing services for the social innovation incubatees, including screening of proposals received, offering guidance on their project development, and leveraging internal and external resources to accelerate growth and scale-up.
  • Regularly visit and monitor the progress of funded projects, maintaining strong relationships to ensure quality social impact.
  • Support timely and quality submission of impact data, including collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Provide all-encompassing administrative support for the Oxfam Grant for Good programme, including budget control, data management, reporting, and documentation. 
  • Organize events for the public and applicants, such as training (online & offline), networking activities, showcases, and award ceremonies.
  • Assist in planning and promoting the project and programme impact on social media, the website, showcase days, and other relevant occasions, to funders, other social innovators, and industry experts.
  • Foster cross-sector collaboration among government, academia, NGOs, businesses, and civil society. 
  • Undertake other related tasks as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in social project management, event management and administration.
  • Previous working experience in incubators, social enterprises and non-governmental organizations would be an advantage.
  • Excellent speaking and written communication skills. Detail minded and able to prepare clear and structured reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously across multiple tasks, manage time effectively, meet tight deadlines and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain strong work relationships with a wide range of people at all levels and to effectively engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
