As Christmas approaches, Oxfam Hong Kong has prepared a series of thoughtful and meaningful gifts that add deeper significance to the gift-giving tradition. Visit the Oxfam Unwrapped website, where we offer a unique opportunity to send heartwarming gifts to those in need around the world, all in the names of you, your family, and your friends. This year, artists James Ng, Shiga Lin, and Lenna Yeung are particularly supporting Oxfam Unwrapped, calling on everyone on social media to join in and choose Oxfam gifts as Christmas presents, spreading warmth and kindness this holiday season.
This year, Oxfam Unwrapped has transformed its poverty alleviation efforts into 12 meaningful Christmas gifts, priced between HK$500 and HK$1,400. Oxfam will use your donation to fund various poverty alleviation projects, helping to transform the lives of people living in poverty.
Oxfam will deliver the gifts you select to those in need on your behalf, giving your Christmas gift double meaning. Additionally, you can choose a gift card designed by the local creative brand “Chocolate Rain”, exclusively for Oxfam Hong Kong, to share the joy with your loved ones!

Artist James Ng recently urged everyone to visit the Oxfam Unwrapped website for their Christmas gifts. He recommended the "Health Checks for Elderly", stating: "Grassroots elderly individuals often miss early signs of age-related diseases. By donating HK$500 for this gift, you can support Oxfam in providing a health check service for grassroots elderly individuals. Let’s give with purpose and make this Christmas more meaningful!"

Artist Shiga Lin also supports Oxfam Unwrapped this year: "I recommend everyone choose the ‘Education for Girls’ as a Christmas gift. The lack of clean water and sanitation facilities hinders the educational opportunities for many girls living in poverty. By donating HK$1,000, you can support Oxfam in providing menstrual hygiene management kits for these girls, allowing them to attend school during their menstrual periods and pursue their dreams."

Long-time Oxfam Hong Kong supporter and artist Lenna Yeung recommends the 'Little Goat' gift this year: "For just HK$1,000, you can help a vulnerable family acquire goats for livestock farming, improving their living conditions."
In addition to the artists' recommendations, Oxfam Hong Kong is also promoting the following two selected gifts this year:
1. Climate Resilient: Hygiene Kits (Price: HK$800)
Extreme weather caused by climate change affects the entire globe, and natural disasters affect disadvantaged communities exponentially more than others. With this gift, you can provide hygiene kits to families in need to prevent the outbreak of diseases.
2. Animal Helpers: Fish (Price: HK$750)
Fish farming effectively improves the ecosystem of the wet rice fields. The mature fish can also be sold. These fish offer smallholders farmers an additional source of income.
