Oxfam Grant for Good "Beyond Measure: Annual Outstanding Project Award Ceremony cum Showcase Day"
Honouring Pioneering Projects That Combine Technology and Community Power to Fight Poverty
Since 2023, Oxfam Hong Kong has been commissioned by the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIE Fund) to establish Oxfam Grant for Good, empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds to tackle poverty and social exclusion through innovative solutions and cross-sector collaboration. Over two years, the programme has nurtured more than 40 pioneering social innovation projects. To recognise these outstanding achievements, the inaugural Beyond Measure: Annual Outstanding Project Award Ceremony and Showcase Day was held on 12 April 2025 at The Mills, honouring four exemplary initiatives that demonstrate transformative social impact.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Mr Kevin Orr, Chairperson of the SIE Fund Task Force, Mr Henry Li, Head of Ecosystem Development at Cyberport Hong Kong and Mr Henry Tang, Acting Director General of Oxfam Hong Kong.
"We sincerely appreciate the SIE Fund's trust in commissioning this initiative. Through Oxfam Grant for Good, over 200 teams have developed precise solutions aligned with targeted poverty alleviation policies – particularly supporting elderly households, subdivided flat residents and single-parent families. Cyberport's technical expertise has been instrumental in enhancing these projects' effectiveness through technology integration." Mr Henry Tang, Acting Director General of Oxfam Hong Kong, said.
SIE Fund Task Force Chairperson Mr Kevin Orr remarked: "Since 2015, the SIE Fund has appointed three batches of intermediaries to design and deliver innovative programmes. These programmes provide funding and capacity-building support to social innovation projects across diverse sectors and developmental stages. Through their innovative ideas, products, and services, these initiatives address pressing social needs—advancing poverty alleviation, social inclusion, community well-being, and societal cohesion. As of March this year, the SIE Fund has allocated grants to 690 projects, nurtured over 20,000 social entrepreneurs, and benefited more than 570,000 individuals in total."
Four teams received the Outstanding Project Award, selected by a judging panel assessing Social Impact, Effectiveness & Efficiency, and Sustainability. Each awardee was presented with a certificate by Mr Kevin Orr, Chairperson of the SIE Fund Task Force and Mr Henry Li, Head of Ecosystem Development of Cyberport.
This year's Outstanding Project Award winners each demonstrate unique strengths, showcasing the diverse landscape of social innovation. The award recipients (listed in alphabetical order) include:
BrainBloom: Holistic ADHD Neurodevelopment & Wellness Program

The project enhances the physical and mental well-being of full-time child caregivers living in inadequate housing through innovative home organising services and mindfulness skills coaching. The event featured award presentations alongside SIE Fund grantees’ vibrant performances—including an ethnic minority youth dance performance by Social S and a local youth singing performance by participants of the “Stage Flight” Youth Performing Arts and Production Training and Internship Programme. Two roundtable discussions fostered dialogue: “Tech for Good” explored the role of technology in driving positive social impact, while “Empowering the Underprivileged” had grantees sharing field-tested strategies for community impact. Award-winning teams also contributed on-the-ground insights to encourage cross-sector collaboration.
